Why Do I need a Professional?

"Why should I hire a professional? A friend offered to do it for us..."

Your friend may mean well, but does he possess the skills and equipment to

do a job you won't regret for years to come? Let your family and friends enjoy

the event while we unobtrusively capture all the sights, sounds and emotions of

your wedding day in digital clarity with creative artistry, creating a keepsake that

your family will enjoy for generations and want to watch again and again! More

than just "a video", it's a fun, emotion-filled story featuring YOU!

"I don't want the video gear to be a distraction to me or my guests"

We use only the latest in compact digital video technology. We never use any

additional lighting during the ceremony, as our 3-chip cameras are well-suited for

low-light sensitivity. All microphones and cameras are wireless so there are never any cords

across the floor. If necessary at the reception, we will use only a small, on-camera

light that is inoffensive to your guests. We work very unobtrusively, and are never

"in your face" with the cameras (that's what zoom was designed for).

Something to Think About…

After the wedding, reception and honeymoon are over, what do you have left?

·        The invitations were all sent except for your keepsake

·        The wedding gown will be cleaned and stored away

·        The rented tuxedos have been retuned to the store

·        The flowers have perished

·        The cake has been eaten

·        The reception food was served

·        The reception facility is being used for another event

·        The DJ was paid and has left the building

·        The photos are nice but they are not live!

However, you will be able to enjoy time and time again your professionally produced wedding video. You've invested so much in your special event, wouldn't you agree that it just makes sense to hire a professional?

Ask Yourself These Questions:

The possibilities are endless for customizing your wedding video. Plan carefully...once your day is over, this milestone becomes a memory. Schedule an appointment with our studio to ask questions about how we can implement your ideas into your video. We welcome the opportunity to work with you.

Other Wedding Video FAQ’s

  1. How do you price your services?
Since we custom build your wedding story we base our prices on the items you select from the Pricing Options Menu. Then we follow three criteria. First, we determine the number of cameras necessary to construct your story. Next, we determine the amount of time we will spend with you the day of your event. Then, we determine the effort required in post production editing that will be necessary to craft the finished story.
  2. What type of equipment do you use?
Most videographers use similar equipment, we utilize SONY DVx2100 3CCD digital cameras and non-linear editing computers. Remember, it is not necessarily the equipment, but the person behind the equipment that matters.
  3. Will you be shooting and editing the video?
Yes, Chris and Megan both videotape and edit their own client's events. In addition, we have a staff of mature, professional videographers who occasionally replace one of us in emergencies.
  4. What formats are available for duplications?
DVD is now the most popular format - VHS is still available. High Definition (HD) will become more acceptable in the future once the conflicts and costs are reduced. We will incorporate this format when these issues are resolved.
  5. How are you dressed at our event?
We are usually dressed in dark (black) attire. We try to match the type of attire your guests will be wearing at your event.   Most couples say their guests never knew we were not friends of the family!
  6. Do you include all of the footage taken the day of my event?
You will receive an edited version of your wedding day which contains most of the original footage. As an option, you may receive the original unedited raw footage of your day for your archives.
  7. How many cameras should I have present during my event?
That will depend on your budget. The more cameras you have operating during your event the more interesting your video will be to watch. It will also increase your production costs because of the additional equipment, labor, and post-production time. We recommend a minimum of two cameras during your ceremony and one to two at your reception.
  8. How visible are you to my guests during my wedding day?
A good videographer walks a fine line between getting the shots that are required for the story yet remaining as discreet as possible. Some clients prefer a passive, photo-journalistic approach to the gathering of footage. Others prefer a more directed, staged-approach intended to deliver their desired outcome. Our experience has given us the ability to produce your story in whatever style you are most comfortable with. We conduct ourselves in an unobtrusive, professional manner while simultaneously getting the images most important in telling your story.

"We love our video!!!
Thank you so much for doing such an awesome job!!
We appreciate all the time and effort you put into it!!!"
Thanks again,

Adam & Kerri
